Course learning outcomes

  • Gain foundational knowledge across critical business areas of accounting, marketing, human resource management and information technology and discuss how each contributes to sustained organisational performance.
  • Describe the range of business information systems and recognise how they can be used to enhance organisational performance.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to troubleshoot real problems in the changing world of business.
  • Present business information effectively with users from diverse backgrounds using a variety of mediums.

Pathways and progression

Students who successfully complete the four subjects in the course may exit the course with the Undergraduate Certificate and seek employment in an entry level position within the Business Administration sector.

Students may elect to continue with SIBT and complete further subjects in the Diploma of Business Administration program. Graduates of the SIBT Diploma of Business Administration are eligible to apply for entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Accounting at Western Sydney University.
