Orientation days are held each semester during the week prior to the start of classes. Important information needed to succeed at SIBT is provided and attendance is essential for all new students. It is of the utmost importance that students attend the orientation program as all matters relating to enrolment will be finalized at this time. Other important events including the issue of timetables, student identification cards and introduction to the Macquarie University campus and services offered will be addressed.

You will also be introduced to your student Mentor, friendly SIBT staff and have the opportunity to make new friends from all over the world!

Prior to commencement, students should also visit the Macquarie University website as SIBT has a strong association with Macquarie University and SIBT students enjoy many of the benefits of the University.

What to Bring:

Students must bring their eCOE or offer letter to orientation for identification. Please do not forget your passport and importantly, Australian contact details (address, telephone number and email address).

Please note if you fail to attend the orientation, your timetable along with I.D. cards will not be available until a later time.

How to Access your Orientation Session Time:

A month before your semester start date, SIBT will publish your individual orientation details including the day and time of your orientation session in SIBT Student Portal.

The Orientation will be held in Building E3A. A map will be available for printing once you have logged on to the portal.
