SIBT, in conjunction with Macquarie University, is leading the industry in terms of teaching and technology, having installed 26 new computerised lecterns. These lecterns provide lecturers with a highly visual teaching aid, particularly important when communicating with international students, who in some instances possess lower levels of English. The lecterns include:
Visualiser - which is used as an OHP or projecting information from a piece of paper to a large screen
Data Projector
Computer - linked to the network and to the internet
Video/DVD players which project onto large data projector screens
The ability to view the information on the lectern screen with or without projecting on to the projector screen
Microphones - attached to the lectern and a mobile microphone
