Students are awarded an Advanced Diploma upon successful completion of 12 units. This includes the SIBT Diploma (8 units) plus an additional four units. These additional units are equivalent to the first semester of second year Macquarie University.

Students can choose to complete these four units over one semester (Fast Track) or two semesters (Standard Track). Students will be offered a place in the Advanced Diploma if they commence their studies in October. This is because Macquarie University does not offer classes between October and February and the Advanced Diploma is designed to allow students to continue their studies at SIBT during this period.

Students who enjoy the SIBT learning environment can also choose to continue studying the Advanced Diploma. Upon graduation, students progress to the second semester of second year of the relevant Bachelor Degree and will only need to complete a further 1.5 years of study at Macquarie University.
