Direct entry to Macquarie University

Upon successful completion of a SIBT Diploma/Advanced Diploma, students will proceed directly to the second year of a Bachelor degree. Please click here for more details. Please note that Australian students must acheive a minimum GPA of 1.5 for progression to Macquarie University. Higher GPA is required for certain programs.

Campus location

SIBT offers courses in two campus locations, at Macquarie University and Macquarie City Campus. From February 2009, students will have the choice and flexibility to study units at both campuses. Students have access to university facilities, including one of the best undergraduate libraries in Australia, sporting amenities, student associations and on-campus/off-campus accommodation.

Study university units

The SIBT Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses consist of first / second year units of Macquarie University Bachelor degrees. Upon completion students receive full credit for their studies.

Choice and flexibility

SIBT has three student intakes per year - February, June and October. Standard Track and Fast Track study options allow students to choose a program that suits their individual needs. Fast track to success

Some pathway programs add an extra year to your tertiary studies. With SIBT, students can complete a Diploma and a Bachelor degree within three years. (NB: It is possible to complete a Diploma and a Bachelor Degree within two years at Macquarie City Campus) Click here for more information.

Quality education

SIBT Diploma and Advanced Diploma lecturers are approved by Macquarie University and many teach the same unit at the university.

SIBT is a registered Higher Education Provider offering accredited courses designed by Macquarie University.

SIBT courses are a recognised qualification for employment purposes. Upon graduation students receive a nationally accredited award.
